make up is an important part of bridal dressing. Along with the shinning jewelery and a gorgeous wedding dress if the make up and the hair do is inappropriate then their beauty are also marred. So it’s very important to know about the right kind of bridal make up that would suit the brides taste and skin tone.A bride should be beautiful and not overdone. It is love that makes her beautiful and not the makeup artist. She’s the star and has to look like a dream, her face translucent, soft and glowing. .Never forget that a compact powder and lipstick must always be carried by a relative for a quick touch up. A day before the wedding the palm and feet of the bride are decorated with “henna”, in the mehandi ceremony. A canopy or mandapa decorated with flowers is erected at the place of wedding. On the wedding day the bride and groom are anointed with turmeric in their respective homes.Make up Guide
1. First wash your face properly than use a light moisturizer to smoothen your skin. Select a concealer of a lighter color shadow areas of the face around the eyes and nose. Then gently apply and blend it all over the face and under the neck an oil free foundation, which will last throughout a long and hot day. Try and choose a color tone, which is slightly lighter than your skin tone but never for white. Matte foundation is best suited for Indian skin tone. It gives a natural effect.
2. Use a professional makeup artist if possible. Have a pre-wedding consultation so your makeup artist already knows what you want. Have your makeup done as close to the ceremony as possible
3. Have a facial two weeks prior to your wedding. If you’ve not had facials in the past we would recommend you start this process 3-4 months prior to your wedding.
4. Skin rejuvenation treatments are good for brides with normal skin a few weeks before the wedding as this helps rid the skin of dead cells and gives a radiance glow; but brides with oily skin should avoid harsh skin treatments as these can cause over activity of the sebaceous glands, leaving skin more oily. Using mild cleansers and balancers made specifically for specific skin types, is a better bet.
5. Proper make up should be applied to the forehead, nose and chin. The eye make up is very essential so proper care should be taken for eye make-up. Apply a brown tone eye shadow for softness and white makeup to lift. Use a thin line of white eyeliner on the eyelid, to feature the eyes. Finish the line with black eyeliner and add a little black eye shadow under the eye. To highlight your lashes use black mascara.
6. Use blush that is powder based as opposed to cream based blush, as it will stay on for a longer time. Use a rosy peaches and plums blush which will give you a natural look accentuating your cheek bones. For your eyes, opt for the classic neutral colors as the trendier brighter colors do not look great in photographs. Avoid the smoky eyed look, instead take shadow in three compatible hues, apply the lightest shade just below the brow bone and the medium shade over the rest of the ye lid, blend with your fingers wherever the two meet.
