Step1 For the oven or broiler way, place the peppers in a hot oven or broiler set at 400 to 450 degrees F for 6 to 8 minutes. Using your tongs carefully turn pepper over several times until skin blisters evenly on all sides.
Step2
For the stove top way, place the peppers on a wire mesh over on the fire, using your tongs carefully turn the peppers over several times until the skin blisters evenly on all sides. Step3
For the outdoor grill method, place your peppers on a charcoal or gas grill and using your tongs carefully turn peppers over several times until the skin blisters evenly on all sides. Step4
For the microwave oven method, place your peppers in a microwave safe dish and cover with an air tight lid to allow for the steam to build up inside. Microwave for 7 to 8 minutes depending on your microwave. The only thing is that the blistering is not easy to see, but the skin will have a tougher, more brittle texture compared to the raw pepper. For 1 to 2 minutes, allow the steam to gather in the container after microwave cooking. Keep you face away when you release the lid. Step5
For Peeling the Peppers, you will need to allow the peppers to cool down. You can use a pan and cover with a damp cloth and it will also make peeling the peppers easier. Start by pulling the blistered skin off the rest of the pepper with a gentle pull and also rinsing it with water. If you can't get it all off then scrape the skin off with a peeler or knife.
