Halloween is a great holiday for fun and festivities the whole family can enjoy. Dating back to the 5th century BC in Celtic Ireland, Halloween originally may have developed on a day when the Celts believed that spirits could intermingle with the living, and so would dress up in ghoulish scary costumes and noisily parade around the neighborhood being destructive, in order to frighten away spirits looking for bodies to possess.Makeup Design
There are 3 main types of clowns. White Face, Auguste & Tramp/Hobo. They all have a different look, but have similar basic features. The idea is to highlight the eyes, mouth, nose and cheeks. You apply your makeup from lightest to darkest colors. I’m going to explain how to apply Auguste Makeup. Each clown has a unique makeup design like a finger print. So it would not be a good idea if you put on Duffer’s face. You’ll want to create your own design.
Halloween MakeUp - Witch Face
Want to look like a wicked witch? Here’s how: apply green face paint and draw V-shaped lines in the middle of your forehead and around your mouth with black eyeliner - it’ll look like you have lots of wrinkles! Adding a wart is optional, but it’ll definitely make you look creepier! The easiest way to do it is to draw a big black dot on the end of your nose and stick on a few strands of hair from a paintbrush using false eyelash glue (use soap and warm water to remove it afterwards). Black lipstick and nail polish will finish off your witchy look.

When trying to look old, don’t just draw dark lines on your skin to look like wrinkles. First cover the skin in a lighter than normal color using baby powder or white blemish cover stick. Then draw the dark lines and slightly blend them to the surrounding area with your finger. Then add baby powder to give the skin that old, dry look. You can also use the baby powder in your hair to get that gray look.
Halloween costumes go hand-in-hand with the occasion because they allow us to set up that whole feeling of I-can-believe … for a night. Even the world’s greatest costume can be made that much better with really good Halloween makeup.
